Trainer Terms

These Trainer Terms apply when you use Kentro to work with other people ("clients") as a trainer, coach, therapist, gym or studio. They add to the Terms of Service, Waiver and Privacy Policy. If they conflict, these Trainer Terms control for your use as a trainer.

1. You are independent

You are an independent professional, not an employee, contractor, agent or partner of Kentro. Kentro is a tool you choose to use. You are solely responsible for your services, including assessments, programming, cues, supervision, modifications, referrals, and anything you tell or send a client.

2. Scope of practice, licenses and insurance

• You will work only within your training, certification and legal scope of practice, and hold any license or registration your work requires.
• You will not use Kentro results to diagnose or treat a medical condition unless you are licensed to do so, and even then Kentro is not a medical device and its estimates are not a clinical measurement.
• You will refer clients to a licensed health professional when pain, injury or a medical concern comes up, including any finding a client marks as painful.
• You will maintain professional liability insurance appropriate to your services.

3. Client consent and safety

• Before adding or scanning a client, you will get their informed permission to scan them and store their results in Kentro, and tell them about our Terms, Waiver and Privacy Policy. Kentro asks you to confirm this before each scan and records your confirmation.
• You will run the safety check honestly before each scan, follow its advice, keep a chair or wall within reach for balance movements, and supervise appropriately.
• You will scan a minor only with a parent or legal guardian's permission, and you are responsible for obtaining and keeping it.
• You will get any waiver, intake or consent your own business, gym or jurisdiction requires. Kentro's documents do not replace yours.

4. HIPAA and patient records

Kentro is not a HIPAA covered entity and is not your business associate. If you are a HIPAA covered entity (for example a physical therapy practice billing insurance), do not use Kentro to create, store or send protected health information about patients unless Kentro has signed a written business associate agreement with you. We do not offer one at this time.

5. Client data

• You may use client data in Kentro only to provide your services to that client, and must keep it confidential.
• You are responsible for the information you enter about clients, for honoring their requests to see, correct or delete it, and for removing clients who ask you to.
• Do not export client data to other systems or people without the client's permission.

6. AI reply drafts and messages

• Reply drafts are written by AI from the client's results and check-ins and can be wrong. You must review and edit every draft before sending; anything you send is your message and your responsibility.
• Messages are not for emergencies. Tell clients to call emergency services when needed.
• Using reply drafts sends the client's recent results, check-ins and messages to our AI provider as described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Your marketing and reports

Do not describe Kentro as a medical device or claim it diagnoses, treats or prevents anything. Share client results publicly only with the client's written permission. Branded reports carry your name; you are responsible for what you say alongside them.

8. Indemnity

You will defend, indemnify and hold harmless Kentro and its owners, officers, employees, contractors and partners from any claim, loss, liability or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your services, your clients' claims about your services, your breach of these Trainer Terms, or your violation of law or anyone's rights.

9. Pilot, fees and changes

Kentro is in a pilot and is free for trainers for now. If we introduce paid plans, we will tell you in advance and nothing will be charged without your agreement. We may update these Trainer Terms and will ask you to accept material changes in the app.
